How Can Food Stuck In The Throat Be Removed?

I was eating some semi-soft cheese chunks about 1/4 in. square. One of the pieces I did not chew well enough before swallowing and is got stuck in my lower throat regen (I can breathe and swallow with slight pain) but it feels like it is stuck next to my spine between my shoulder blades. Can you suggest any course of action?

Hello,

If you are so damn sure that something is stuck, then you can always get endoscopy or laryngoscopy indirect done to see where it is stuck.

If it is confirmed that it is a foreign body, then it can be better to be removed as early as possible under general anesthesia or if it becomes tumor it will be difficult to remove it.

Also, go to ENT specialist and get the above things done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
