How Can Foot Drop Be Treated?

hello sir my self amit goyal. my father has a problem in left leg.i think he has foot droop or not. i am totally confuse whaen he concious than he has not foot drop and when he has unconcious then he has foot drop. plz guide me how can i know that what has he problem
