How Can Foot Pain With Scarring Be Treated?

Hi ! About 8 years ago I fell down the escalator and got a pretty deep on the bottom of my foot. I went to the emergency room but I didn't get stitches for some reason. It just got bandaged up and then later took it off and began to walk normally again. However, to this day the acrid still there looking as it was when it first developed. Whenever I try to scratch the bottom of my foot (particularly near the scar area), it gives me this uncomfortable pain. I don't know what to do with it ! Please help.
