Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I have athlete s feet fungus. On the top of two of my toes, I have what look like red blisters. When I treated with a.f. cream, they dry up and eventually peel off leaving a reddish area of new skin exposed. The skin around it is still dry and peeling tho. These blisters do not itch and are not painful. I looked for any photos on line that were similar and the closest I could find was athlete s foot. What is it? How do I continue to treat? Do I need to see my primary care dr?
As you have a fungal infection on the feet, apply ketoconazole ointment locally, take tablet terbinafine after consultation. For itching, you can take tablet Allegra. Along with that use candid powder. Keep that part dry. Don't go in the water for a long time. Keep proper aeration of the foot. I will suggest you review here with detailed history or consult with a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale
