How Can Gall Bladder Stones Be Removed?

I have just had a ultra sound which shows I have two small kidney stones and one gall bladderstone. Is there a special diet I should follow to help pass them? Is it different for gall bladder and kidney? Have been looking for a Dr, for advice of what I do now. is there a surgical method to remove stones, or break them up?

Hello,

Gallstones can be removed by non-surgical intervention and other minimally invasive procedures. These are:

Lithotripsy non-surgical.it makes use of lasers to break stones and remove them.

Laparoscopic surgery, it is minimally invasive. No need for the patient to remain admitted for a long time.

Open surgery if stones are large and if there is a necessity to remove the gallbladder.

Diet control to avoid stones is:

Avoid oily foods and diet. Use omega three fatty acids in the diet. Take low sugar. Use fibre based diet Take plenty of liquids. Prevention is always better than cure so adopt dietary changes and avoid having stones in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
