General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Antral gastritis can be from H pylori infection or it can be inflammatory gastritis and sometimes can be autoimmune gastritis as well.

For H pylori detection during endoscopy, biopsy can be taken and stained with Giemsa stain for H pylori. Urea breath test is also beneficial in detecting H pylori.

For H pylori if positive amoxicillin, Clarithromycin and Omeprazole combination chemotherapy can be prescribed. Second, if H pylori negative then for symptomatic relief antacid like Pantoprazole can be prescribed.

Consult a gastroenterologist for examination and get your prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
