How Can Genital Herpes Be Treated?

What can help heal my skin fast after a genital herpes outbreak? I was diagnosed with genital herpes 10/24/2016 after taking the meds and the outbreak ending my skin at the base of my penis and some spots in my pube region have not healed completely. I went back to the doctor and he prescribed Acyclovir cream for me but it did very little to improve my skin conditions. Also I m curious if I should try cocoa butter to help my skin regenerate and heal completely.

Hello,

Acyclovir is the right treatment not to let the lesions spread. It is more effective if used as soon as possible. You can use calamine lotion to help fast recover. Wash skin with soap and water and also dry it properly to help regeneration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
