Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The diabetic status in pregnancy is assessed by fasting blood sugar and not by HbA1C. You have to do a glucose challenge test and start insulin immediately. Diabetes in pregnancy can lead to serious complications to the baby. Never use oral drugs like glycomet SR for diabetes in pregnancy. You can continue shelcal and thyronorm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
