How Can Gluten Intolerance Be Treated?

Hi. First of all I am not gluten intolerant, but I have heard eating gluten free is healthier. So, my question is - I have some gluten-free pasta shells, made from brown rice. The labeling shows that a serving (1 cup) has 43 g of carbs ; .9 g of dietary fiber; & 1 g of sugars. I m concerned about the 43 g of Carbs. Is eating this much carbs too much carbs for a healthy weight? I feel I am currently at least 10 pounds overweight & do not want to be adding fuel to that fire!!

Hello,

The dietary guidelines recommend that carbs provide 45 to 65 percent of your daily calorie intake. So if you eat a 2000-calorie diet, you should aim for about 225 to 325 grams of carbs per day. But if you need to lose weight, you will get much faster results eating around 50 to 150 grams of carbs. So, this 43 grams of carbs is safe for you. But make sure that you are having food on time. Because it will lead to ulcer and further complications. With exercise only u ll be able to reduce 10 pounds of weight.

Hope I have answered your query.
