How Can Goiter Be Treated?

i was diagnose with nodular cystic goiter since i was 28, i m 36 now. I am still taking my medicine Levothyroxine sodium 100 mcg once a day. I even eat food with iodine such as clams, sea weeds and all those. i visit my doctor and run some laboratory test THS,T3, T4 twice a year... what else will i do, or can you recommend me so that this goiter will be gone... my goiter is not this big any way, ..., but i am scare i do not want to have a swollen thyroid gland for life. please help....
