How Can Grade-1 Parenchymal Echotexture And A Çyst In Upper Pole Of Left Kidney Be Treated?

Hi sir , I have only left kidney functioning and in the ultrasound report it was mentioned left kidney shows grade1 parenchymal echotexture and also 2.7cm çyst in upper pole of left kidney. What is parenchymal ecotexture and is there any problem for me

Hello,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Increased echotexture on ultrasound is an abnormal change.It could be due to chronic kidney disease or other conditions like long term diabetes or hyper tension.It could be a normal variation in some people and in that case it does not signify any disease condition.
As you have a cyst too,detailed evaluation may be needed.Consult a nephrologist at earliest and he might advise you to take a CT scan of abdomen to get a more clear picture of your kidney status.Rarely a biopsy may be needed in some conditions.
