Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. Gynecomastia or enlargement of the breast could be a pathological or physiological condition in males and is due to the excess growth of breast tissue, [and not excess fat tissue] and more importantly by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone so a general surgeon can be in a position on clinical examination to tell you whether this is just a collection of tissue or a real condition of gynecomastia which needs removal by surgery.

2. More than half of boys develop gynecomastia during puberty. The tissue mainly comprises of adipose tissue, and if one will lose weight and body fat; gynecomastia will automatically come under control. [get an endocrinologist opinion]
3. Surgical correction can be done from the cosmetic point of view, initially, prescription medicines like danazol, tamoxifen, testosterone can be tried but if medication fails then surgery is the next approach

4. In Ayurveda, one generally approach the disease as kapha disorder.

.Kachnnar Guggul:2 tab thrice daily with plain water
.Chandraprabha Vati:2tab twice daily with plain water
