1. hair loss in female could be due to hormonal imbalance [due to pregnancy, child birth or early onset menopause] and could also be due to change of climate [from USA to India] and thyroid problem especially hypothyroidism may cause hair loss so consult a gynecologist Doctor for hormonal profile and if it is Ok visit a Trichologist for you problem to rule out any other pathology, who will make sure that you are not affected with any fungal infection of the scalp [eczema/psoriasis or seborrhea dermatitis ]

2. In the mean time, some dietary and lifestyle changes which you can incorporate in your daily activities are:

. take high protein diet
. for hair bath, do not use very hot water.
. comb hair when they are dry, Wet hair is weak.
. dry the hair naturally, avoid blow dryer and strong heat.
. cover hair while traveling in the sun or on a scooter.
. Soap nut (reetha) and shikakai along with Bhringraj and Neelini oil act as a natural conditioner and you can use it safely.

PS. Initially one can start with Immunomodulation [Rasayan Chikitsa] Treatment and later restore to non- surgical hair replacement [if hair loss is psychologically traumatic and some people may have a poorer outcome with Conservative line of treatment]
