Hello doctor i am manoj and i am suffering from hair loss since 5 years and now my hairline is very thinner and receeding above. I consulted by many doctors but nothing happen better. Please give a suggestion how can i stop it, is there any effective medication?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You could be suffering from Androgenetic alopecia. I would suggest you to apply Minoxidil solution. Along with that take Biotin supplements. If you have dandruff, use Ketoconazole shampoo. Continue this treatment for at least 6 months and be patient. Minoxidil exerts its initial effect only after 6 months. In case of worsening of symptoms, do consult your Dermatologist immediately.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siva Subramanian.
