How Can Hair Loss Caused By Danclear Shampoo Be Treated?

Hi. I am from Bangalore. Recently I had used Danclear shampoo for dandruff problem. I used it for only about 6-7 washes. Immediately after that I started loosing hair right from scalp. I can see that the hair just by mere touching is just falling off. Is there any solution for this? The loss is so severe that from past 2 weeks my hair has come down to half size. Thank you,

General & Family Physician 's  Response

What problems you are having appears that the hair loss has been caused due to chemical reaction due to use of shampoo. Kindly do the following to overcome it.

1. Use shampoo containing Selenium, Vitamin E and Zinc every alternate day for 1 month.

2. Use shampoo containing Ketoconazole and salicylic acid twice a week for a month. Gradually, your symptoms should subside.

Hope the information provided would be helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

All the best.

Regards,
