How Can Hand Bones Swelling With Curvature Be Treated?

during a football game my index finger was been down almost to my palm. I continued the game and have used my hand as often as possible since the initial trauma. It's been about 3 weeks and there is still swelling between the bones in my hand and the second knuckle in my finger appears to be crooked. I can squeeze with my entire hand, but it's impossible to open a soda bottle. Any suggestions?
