How Can Headache After An Injury Be Treated?

Hi, my 2-1/2 yr old ad was in Target this am with her dad and was fighting being buckled into the cart.He also had her yr old sister with him. The two & half yr old (Stella) leaned far back and managed to fall out of the cart, hit the back of her head on the cement floor. He took her to her pediatrican and she felt that Stella will be ok. Stella is normally a very active child. She s been very quiet today wanting her mom and to be cuddled all day and complaining her head still hurts. Do you think she should be seen again tonight or wait until morning and see how she s doing?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If such symptoms are persistent she should have a head scan to rule out concussion . You should get a neurologist opinion if this persists .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
