Last week, my doctor confirmed that I had shingles ... and added that the earlier ZOS vaccination a few years back should make the situation less painful and/or shorter in duration. The prescription: Famciclovir. Together with the tablets and soothing Calamine, I almost applauded the move toward resolution. Now, the problem: The headaches started almost immediately, tho the torso waist outbreak on the left side is scabbing over and much less itchy/painful. How can I deal with the almost debilitating headaches--note that there is some weakness of legs (unusual for me who walks her dog mile(s) per day, swims, etc.)--because I m only halfway through the prescribed 7 day course? The headaches are a sign of some concern for me and result in agitation/restlessness. Suggestions? Chris
