Hi,

Cold & flu symptoms also can cause difficulty in hearing. Take antihistamines, antibiotics & tylenol for 5 days under a consultant. Let the symptoms subside.

If tinnitus continues, you are recommended to see an ENT doctor & get physically examined, get Audiometry & Imaging tests done. Tinnitus sometimes occurs due to wax. If wax is detected, you need to get an ear wash done(removal of earwax).

If any pathology is detected in the ear drum, you will need to take medications for a longer period of time while continuing with the follow up tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
