How Can Hearing Loss Be Treated?

I have been to my doctor and he is waiting for an appointment for me to see an ent Doctor, I have lost about 50% to 60% of my ear drum through infection this has been going on for 3 months what would be the treatment for this at present there is no infection as I was given ammoxiclin but it is very uncomfortable along with hearing loss

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query, you have symptoms of hearing loss which seems to be due to ear infection, Meniere disease, and could be due to wax accumulation in ears.

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and get audiometry done as this will determine the percentage of hearing loss and its exact cause.

Doctor may order CT scan, examination with otoscope and prescribe further treatment option. Till then, medicines and light physical exercise will be helpful.

Apply warm compresses. Maintain ear cleanliness. Avoid pricking ear with any sharp object.
