How Can Hearing Loss From A Detached Eardrum Be Prevented?
How can I stop my hearing from getting worse? I have a hearing aid to compensate hearing loss from a detached eardrum. My doctor told me I d have to eventually go through surgery, otherwise I d lose my hearing in that ear completely. I don t produce enough earwax to keep bacteria out of my ears, so I m more vulnerable to ear infections. My doctor told me that was the underlying cause of the eardrum separation.
From the descrption i am inferring that you are having chronic middle ear infection, with perforation of ear drum.Such cases can be associated with hearing loss.Options of treatment includes surgical removal of disease with reconstruction of ear drum,2nd option hearing aid
