How Can Heavy Leg Syndrome Be Treated?

hi i am having renal failure and since some month i am having the syndrome of heavy legs. as long as my legs are up no swelling but as soon as i sit or stand up, my legs become heavy and increase in volume. is it due to the renal failure or because of some medicines im taking?
