Last Sunday I was diagnosed with a hernia and fibroids of uterus at the ER. I am going for a follow up with my regular doctor on Tuesday. I am in the same pain today and taking ibuprofen 600 mg. I have on going gas pain today. My question is surgery the only way to remove the hernia and fibroids and can it be done at the same time? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think surgery is the only solution for fibroids and hernia. I don't think these two surgeries can be done at the same time. Anyway talking with your surgeon about it is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
