How Can Hernia Be Treated?

Hi i am askinbg a bout mmy sister-inlaw, she hads a hernia and she was told it was as big as it will get get,she went n for gastric bypass n 2002 or 3 ,and they mwould not do ,it on her cause her liver was to ,large,so they went and cut the sac, if that is what u call it,exposing all intestines,n2009 she went to Kansas city med.cnter.she was going to ,get it fixed,they gave her a 50% chance of not coming off the table,then she went to Springfield Mo. and they gave her 75% chance, she has diabetes,pill),and copd,I am from Ks. where she lives and go there a few timesa year,she looked not well when I saw her last week, she has neropathy n her feet, she can barely get around, without her walker,and I feel she has just give up,she says there is nothing they can do for the hernia and it is very big.So my question is, is there anything that can b done for this?Thank U

Hi,

So far as symptoms narrated here, it sounds to be a very large hernia, which is only curable by surgery. For the proceeding of the surgery, the patient must get fitness from the anaesthesia point of view, which in your case, I doubt.
