How Can High Blood Pressure Be Treated?

What can I take for my blood pressure that is 200/100. I don t take blood pressure medicine never have had problem with. I have been sick went to the E.R 2 days ago it was 170 /107. I was told that it sounded like the flu. They gave me a steroid shot,2 prescriptions doxycycline, prednisone and some fluticasone propionate nasal spray

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Anti hypertensives has to be started at the earliest. As the blood pressure is too high, multiple drugs may be needed. Consult a physician and get evaluated.
An ultrasound abdomen is required to rule out conditions like pheochromocytoma.
