How Can High Fever And Fatigue In A Toddler Be Treated?

My 16 month old grandson has a temp of 102 degrees, and has been lethargic all day. I did give him some Motrin about an hour ago but it hasn t done much good. Should I wait awhile, or take him to the er? He did eat lunch, and has been drinking fluids
