Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Well, therapy with medications is first step. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs and Anti-inflammatory medications, such as aspirin,
ibuprofen (e.g. Advil), naproxen (e.g. Aleve), can reduce swelling and inflammation and relieve any pain associated with
hip bursitis. It may not cure the cause however.
Second: Aspiration to drain the bursa can be used. In some cases that this is recommended, a
cortisone injection will usually be done at the same time.
Physical therapy is used after acute phase is healed and Antibiotics may be required for septic
trochanteric bursitis More challenging cases may require hospitalization and antibiotics delivered intravenously.
Lst option is Surgery which is recommended is severe and resistant cases.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
