Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

You report to:
- have high blood pressure (hypertension) since your last child (2007)
- personal history of tubal ligation
- currently taking amlodipine 10 mg and Lisinopril 5 mg
- current bp is 173/114

You are being correctly treated with amlodipine and Lisinopril. However, if I was your caring doctor would advise to start a diuretic (HCTZ or Furosemide) in order to help you reduce high bp.

Diet is also important to keep your bp under control:
- avoid salty foods/drinks
- avoid caffeinated drinks (coffee, chocolate, energetic drinks, etc.)
- try to cope with stress
- take garlic raw or with food

If I was your caring doctor would advise to run further diagnostic tests in order to determine what might cause your bp to be such high:
- thyroid function test
- cardiac check up: ECG, echocardiogram, stress test
- blood electrolytes
- lipid profile panel
- kidney/liver function test
- urine analysis

After evaluating the results, we can decide for best treatment strategy apart those advised above.

Hope this helps.
