How Can Hyperthyroidism Along With Anxiety And Excessive Sweating Be Treated?

My wife is suffering from hyperthyroid. The symptoms are overwhelming at times. Agitation, heart beating irregularity, sweating, anxiety. We are waiting to see an endocrinologist, but what can we do in the meantime? It has come on so fast, within the last week. Thanks, Dan
