Hi This is Mohammed from India ,one of my sister suffering from throid hypo normal now,High blood pressue noraml now, left painnormal now,Guideness, and samaltaneously suffering from fever since 4 years what are the sufficient exams have to take, please advise.
If she suffers from fever the necessary exams are those ho can determine the cause of this fever. Some of the test can be: a blood test to measure the white blood cell count, strep throat culture, sputum sample, blood culture, urine analysis, urine culture, stool sample, spinal tap (lumbar puncture), X-ray films or CT scan, liver function tests, thyroid function tests.etc.. Of course sh maybe doesnt need all these test but her doctor will order only the necessary tests. My opinion is that you should not worry about it now unless the diagnosis is confirmed.About the hypothyroid the treatement is levothyroxine.Average full replacement dose: 1.7 mcg/kg/day (e.g., 100 to 125 mcg/day for a 70 kg adult) orally Older patients may require less than 1 mcg/kg/day.
