How Can Hypothyroidism Be Treated?
I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I am a 59 yr old female. I have other family members that have the same condition. They are all on synthyroid. I see that they still battle fatigue and weight gain. Is Armour thyroid a better medicine?

Your diagnosis is : Hypothyroidism
Confirmatory investigations are :serum TSH, serum free T4, T3 estimation
If TSH high and T4 low then it is hypothyroidism
For hypothyroidism levothyroxine can be prescribed..
Dose of levothyroxine decided according to TSH level
Then after starting levothyroxine, regularly check TSH and according to TSH level dose of levothyroxine adjusted
