How Can Impaired Speech In A Toddler Be Treated?

Respected Dr My son is 3 years and 4 months of age. Not able to speak a single word and also less eye contact. Response also nil. I admitted to speech classes as per suggestion of local Dr from last 5 months but the outcome is zero. So please suggest me what to do? Regards Debashis pramanik Berhampore (west bengal ) India

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
A delay may be caused by:
- hearing loss.
- it may be due to a speech or language disorder.
-he may have trouble making speech sounds correctly.
-he may have trouble understanding what others say or difficulty sharing their thoughts.
So a detailed visit is needed to inform about the cause of the problem .
