How Can Impaired Speech In Child Be Treated?
My granddaughter of 14 months doesn t speak, and her voice is more like a low growl, she doesn t laugh, and it concerns me greatly. She is very large for her age, and wears size 4T already. She never crawled, and can hardly walk due to her size. What could be the cause?

She needs a detailed evaluation.
The overweight in a kid has to be evaluated to look for endocrine problems and sometimes underlying causes can cause delayed speech also.
You can take her to a speech therapist and get evaluated.
