How Can Indigestion And Pain In The Ribs Be Treated?

I broke 4 ribs on the right side of my body in May 2017, 5 months ago due to a fall. My ribs still hurt when I sleep and sit in a chair. Often it feels like I have indigestion/heartburn along with the ribs hurting. Does rib pain mimic indigestion/hearburn? I think I read that rib pain sometimes feels like a heart attack. I had an X-ray in the emergency room back in May 2017 but I m thinking I might need a CT scan now to make sure they are healing properly since they are still bothering me.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

For fractured Rib if x ray finding not clear than CT scan can be done. Rib fractured heal by their own in eight week. Heart burn is not because of rib fracture. For heart burn rabeprazole 20 mg OD or alcid Mps like syrup can be prescribed. For rib pain and inflammation relief non steroid antinflammatory drug like ibuprofen 200 mg can be prescribed. I suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for examination.
