How Can Infected Ear Drums Be Treated?

Hi. I perforated my ear drum a week ago today when I slipped with a qtip and it jammed into my ear. I am being very careful not to get water in it but last night and today I feel a runny feeling in it and it was wet with slightly yellow tinted discharge when I woke up this morning. Only occasional pain. Should I see a dr?

Hi,
it seems that there might be having infection in your middle ear due to perforation of ear drum.
go for one antibiotic medicine course for 5 days.
Put antibiotic ear drops 3 times a day for few days.
Do not try to clean the ear with q-tip or cotton buds.
Ok and take care.
