How Can Infected Pimple Below The Lower Lip Be Treated?

I have an infected blind pimple below my lower lip on the right side. It is extremely sore if not elevated and the area is becoming more and more firm by the hour. Also it seems the firm area is getting bigger. I saw a doctor today and got antibiotics but the nurse who tried to pop it seems to have aggrevated it. Please help!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have infected pimple below the lower lip which occurs when skin pores becomes clogged and filled with sebum ,dead skin and bacteria get infected. It could be sun blister. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply aloe vera gel. Cover skin with cloth when exposure to sun. Drink 7-8 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Oral retinoids are most effective in your case. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course as you are not getting benefited.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
