How Can Infertility Be Treated?

Hello Doctor,am 41yrs and went for an IVF,after the extraction of eggs,I was told that the sperm couldn t fertilise the eggs,bcos the egg shell were hard so the sperm couldn t penetrate.I wanna repeat same procedure, pls what drugs can you prescribe for me that will help to give a positive result and healthy eggs in my next procedue .To enhance a positive result for fertilization to take place.

Hi, I think you can go o an IVF with ICSI and a laser assisted hatching. In ICSI, the egg is fertiliser by a single sperm. So, sperm doesn't need to break the egg shell. It is broken by embryologist manually. Assisted hatching helps in growth of embryos. You can ask regarding this form your doctor. Hope it helps.
