General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Actually.. After 35 years of age...because of possible weak fertility &quality of ova...possibility of abnormal babies rises
This can be avoided in IVF, here both male &female gamets (ovum &sperms ) are selected for best quality &then artificial mating is brought about.. the result being normal baby. Also proper hormonal support is given for facilitating implantation &normal fetal development.
* I feel the advise of IVF is given to you from this point of view .
Alternatively you can go for normal conception after confirming normal ovulation & sperms. Unprotected sex around ovulation day (which is 14 days prior to expected date of menses) is essential foe conceprion.
*Possible abnormality in baby can be known by pathological testsor chromisomal analysis &abnormal baby can be aboted... it mauy cause both physical, psychological &economical trauma.
After knowing both the sides you can choose way of conception.
Thanks.
