Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have RA and can’t take medication for it. just finished radiation for breast cancer and will be 3 months before I can take meds. Are there any supplements to reduce inflammation.??? I’ve started a diet cutting out nightshade veggies, cheese, red meats, salt, processed foods. Suggestions..??? Thanks
Alright, there are a lot of medications for RA (Rheumatoid arthritis). The mainstay is aspirin-like drugs. I find it hard to believe that Motrin drug is out for 3 months.
Then there is methotrexate which is a cancer drug. There is also Plaquenil and Gold drug which gums up the cells involved in rheumatoid but have little other effects in the short run. You might want to see a specialist on this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Matt Wachsman
