How Can Inflammation In The Hands Be Treated?

I live in Delray Beach, FL nobody knew what was wrong with me, after much frustration I was diagnosed with PSA. Been under treatment for about 8 years and currently on methotrexate, folic acid and diclophenic and otezla, it has helped however, now the inflammation is in my hands, as well as having multiple foot surgery due to this problem, I can feel a flare up coming on as I know by now what it is. I have had a few surgeries including my rotor cuff, and am afraid it will get worse. Any suggestions

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Spa control can be achieved by combined advise of a skin specialist, rheumatologist & physiotherapist. This would reduce the sufferings & reduce flare ups too. Self-care with ice pack, rest & advised anti-inflammatory & immunosuppressant. Drugs would manage flare ups.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
