How Can Inflammation On The Face Be Treated?

Hi, I have been dealing with a red area on face for a 2-3 years. It gets inflamed, usually with outdoor activity. Redness gets bad, and sometimes regresses. Nevertheless. the skin seems to be scarred now and I can only HOPE I am not creating permanent damage by not getting this addressed. I saw a dermatologist a few months ago and they prescribed desonide cream. They did a scraping and came back and said they would need to do a biopsy. I am not too excited about this and do not know what I too expect. This is my face, after all!!! In addition, I do not have insurance. If I had the answer and could restore my skin to normal, I would be glad and grateful to whomever helped me. And, would be happy to make payment arrangements if this became a financial challenge. I JUST NEED HELP!! suggestions are welcome!
