How Can Insomnia And Depression While Suffering From Asthma Be Treated?
Hello sir, my father is 80years old and he has been suffering asthma for last35years. Presently from last 2years after my mother s death he is also suffering from mild depression and sleeping problem. His sodium level is 118 at 11th July. I am giving him rotacap of aerocart(plan) as 3d in a day and nebulize with levolin 0.63+fluhale(1 /2+1/2)in evening time. He has taken theoasthelin SR continue upto 2014 but now he is not taking any oral medicine for asthma. For allergy I give him cetrazin at night. Always he has a problem of cough and cold. Sir, can I give him fluhale continue and can I increase the power of rotacap according the situation. Sir, can I give him NS100 at home from an experience medical attendant for sodium. 2years before he had given treatment for sodium deficiency at home. Sir please suggest me. Thanks
Well, insomnia may be difficult to treat, but there are some methods which can be used. Treatment options include behavior and lifestyle changes, medicines, and complementary medicines.
You need to change your dietary habits and these include changing your sleep area or schedule, watching what and when you eat and drink, and being more active. It's also important to keep regular bedtimes and wake times-7 days a week-and to try to avoid taking naps during the day.
Prescription sleep medicines may also help and include diazepam and similar medications. Melatonin is supplement which may be of help as well. In severe cases special testing is needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
