I have hard time falling asleep at night and then staying asleep. I am on a cpap machine. I have taken 2 tablets of melatonin and it lets me sleep a few hours and then I wake up and am on this darn computer. is there anything you can recommend for along sleep periods.

Hi,

In my opinion, you should not take any sleeping pill because you are suffering from OSA and using CPAP machine. Sleeping pills actually cause more harm to OSA patients.

In my opinion, the cause for your disturbed sleep is uncontrolled OSA. So better to consult a sleep specialist and get done a fresh sleep study with titration to identify pressure settings required to control your OSA. Once your OSA is controlled, you will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
