How Can Inter Menstrual Bleeding Be Treated?

My Age is 45, I had period on 22nd September of 4 days in October my period got skipped then in 12 the November period started initially it was spotting then after 15 days it started heavily on 21 st doctor prescribed me 5 days MF course 3 for a day after completing bleeding is sticky brownish some faint red. what I do now ?

it is hormonal imbalance can go for pregnancy test and exclude pregnancy. consult gynechologist for examination and advise on treatment
