How Can Intestinal Parasite Infestation Be Treated?

i suspect my dogs and family have been infected with a wormlike parasite! threadworm/pinworm or the like! although i cannot see them moving. i can see other evidence around the house and yard! does disinfecting with pinesol and bleach kill them off? and what can i do with the yard? i came into contact with a mouse infested business about 5 weeks ago and have been having issues ever since!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a first line protocol, we have to deworm by taking Albendazole. All the interior of your home, bed linen and utensils have to be boiled and cleaned. Pinesol and bleaching will do the job. If you develop any symptoms like abdominal pain or loose stools, do a stool microscopy to confirm the diagnosis.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
