General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The most common treatment for tapeworm infection involves oral medications, that are toxic to the adult tapeworm, including Albendazole.

I suggest you do the endoscopy and continue the medication if the diagnosis is confirmed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
