How Can Irregular Menstrual Cycles With Bleeding Be Treated?

i am an adult female suffering from PCOS for last 3 years and taking homeopathy medicines. I am also overweight and taking metformin 500mg twice a day. my period starts with spotting and then prolonged heavy bleeding and this time it is continueing for last 3 weeks and get cramps and backache also. my homeopathy doctor has suggested me to first get alopathy medicine t stop bleeding and get regular menstrual cycle. i am also having irregular cycle. please suggest me medicine to get regular cycle and stop the bleeding.
