Hormonal imbalance, an emotional problem like stress, ovarian cyst/PCOS, change in lifestyle and dietary habit, thyroid disorder, etc.
I advise you to consult the gynecologist and get the done following investigations: reproductive hormone analysis, thyroid hormone, ovarian follicle study, USG scan, etc.
Management depends on the cause. The period can be induced by medroxyprogesterone after proper evaluation.
Do regular exercise like walking and medication early in the morning for 45-60 minutes, healthy diet and fresh fruits.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
