How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

Hi,i am having the irregular period problem since of my age of 15 yrs old,i consult with a gynacologist and he gave me Medicine Modus 10mg.and advice me to take it evry month.Now i m 23yrs old and i m still suffering the irregular period problem and taking Modus 10mg.I jst want to know problem of irregular period and and taking the medicine Modus 10mg can harm my future pregnancy?

Modus 10 contain synthetic progesterone and it is useful to regularize the period in case of hormonal imbalance.
You have to find the cause of the menstrual irregularity.
It could be due to hormonal imbalance, poly cystic ovarian disease, thyroid dysfunction.
I would suggest to go for reproductive hormone and thyroid hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study to confirm the cause.
Specific treatment should be taken according to the cause.
You can continue modus.
It increase the chance to become pregnant as it make the uterine environment favorable for the pregnancy in hormonal imbalance.
You can also use metformin to induce ovulation.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise and maintain your weight according to BMI.
