How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

I am 25 years old. got married in october 2016. i have irregular periods since now. got my last period 26th April . after visiting a doc he asked me to use femilon and thyroxine tablets with folic acid. how long do i have to use them? when can i get pregnant?

Hi I think you should go for evaluation first to find the cause of irregular periods. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. You may be having some thyroid disorder. That's why thyroxine has been given. Femilon is a contraceptive pill. So, if you want pregnancy, you need some other medicines like clomiphene for inducing ovulation. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
